.NU domain name registrar

.NU is the extension for registrars of domains from NIUE. We can arrange your registration, transfer or change of your .NU domain names quickly and efficiently.

Registration Requirements

Minimum 2 characters. Maximum 63 characters. You can't start or end this type of domain names with a ("-") sign.

Transfer Policy

A .NU Domain Transfer must be initiated using its Authorisation Code, which can be obtained from the current registrar. There is no cost for a transfer and the domain will not be renewed during the process. .NU Domain Name transfers may be performed after a domain has expired, while the domain is still in its 70 day grace period (see below) — renewal is not required before performing the transfer.

Redemption Restore info

After expiration of a .NU domain, it will still be active in the Zone for a 10 day grace period. It will then be deactivated from the Zone and placde in a waiting state for an additional 60 days, during which time it may still be restored at minimal or no cost. After the 70 day grace period has expired, the domain will then be placed in quarantine for an additional 7 days and may no longer be reclaimed or restored. After the quarantine, the domain will then be released for general registration.
